MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING
BECKET WOODS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
BECKET WOODS ROAD & MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
SATURDAY JULY 7, 2007 AT 10:00 AM
Becket Town Hall
1. *Election of two (2) Prudential Committee members and one District Treasurer
and one District Secretary:
Joe LaCascia: Term to expire 7/2010
John Amato: Term to expire 7/2010
Joe LaCascia for one year term as District Treasurer.
Barbara LaCascia for one year term as District Secretary.
Secretary cast one unanimous vote in favor of above Officers
2. Review and discussion of Budget for Fiscal Year 2009 (7/2008 to 7/2009)
Motion made to adopt budget as presented and previously mailed to all Members proposing the continuance of $700 annual R&MD for FY 2009. Motion duly seconded and passed by voice vote. No opposition.

3. Reports from Standing Committees:
a. Facilities Survey Report by Joe; Call for creation of Facilities Review Committee. Two Members volunteered. Joe to follow-up with them after next Board Meeting.
b. Tennis Committee report: Steve August, Chair. Peter Lehrer, Vice-chair.
3. Presentation of revised building standards, inspections & checklists adopted by the Committee effective 7/1/2007. Opening remarks by Peter followed with comments by John (Skip) Amato. Handouts made available to Members and to be posted on Website.
4. Open Microphone to all Members present:
a. Dogs prohibited at swim-pond issue re-visited . Informal vote by Members present ratified desire to keep dogs off Beach at all times.
b. Concern for “leeches” in swim-pond voiced. Joe will investigate and report.
c. Remediation of Beech Tree Road at Beaver Pond & Benedict property discussed. Committee and Benedict to work together to bring to satisfactory resolution.
d. Jef Frank declared that broadband DSL (Hi-speed) would come to Becket via WMECO power lines within 3-4 years.
